Jae Rhim Lee

Jae Rhim Lee is a transdisciplinary artist, inventor, and entrepreneur. The founder and CEO of green burial company Coeio, her living units, furniture, wearables, and recycling systems propose unorthodox relationships between the mind, body, and self and the built and natural environment while critically engaging governmental institutions, industries, and social norms. Lee has lectured and exhibited her work internationally and across disciplines. She is the recipient of grants from the Creative Capital Foundation, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, MIT, and the Universitaet der Kunste Berlin, among others. She is a fellow at Stanford’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design and a TED fellow and lecturer.
