
John Hickenlooper
Former Governor, State of Colorado
John Hickenlooper is governor of Colorado, serving in his second term. Since taking office in 2011, he has focused on making Colorado the most pro-business state with the highest environmental and ethical standards, and he champions innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. A former geologist and entrepreneur who co-founded Denver’s Wynkoop Brewing Company, he is the first Denver mayor (serving from 2003 to 2011) to be elected governor in 150 years, the nation’s first geologist to become a governor, and the first brewer since Sam Adams in 1794. Hickenlooper is the author of the memoir, The Opposite of Woe: My Life in Beer and Politics.
